Cutting

The bypass lopper is designed for cutting live wood. The cutting blade of this lopper slides past a counter blade in a scissor action, hence the name “bypass”. The pivot bolt, which is positioned off-center, well above the actual cutting point, doubles this slicing motion increasing the length of blade which is used for cutting. The hook shape is designed for larger cutting capacity.
